In conjunction with the 6th Annual New England Pharmacists Convention
Each year the Massachusetts Pharmacists Association recognizes several outstanding individuals within the pharmacy profession. During the banquet each individual is honored for their achievements with an award.
The awards are:
BOWL OF HYGEIA
Sponsored by: Wyeth Pharmaceuticals
Criteria:
- recipient must be a pharmacist, licensed in Massachusetts
- recipient must be living
- recipient has not previously received the award
- recipient is not currently serving nor has he/she served within the immediate past two years on its awards committee or as an officer of the association in other than an ex-officio capacity
- recipient has compiled an outstanding record of community service, which, apart from his/her specific identification as a pharmacist, reflects well on the profession
- recipient must be a member of MPhA

DISTINGUISHED YOUNG PHARMACIST AWARD
Sponsored by: Pharmacists Mutual Companies
Criteria
- recipient must have a entry degree in pharmacy received less than 10 years
- recipient must be registered in Massachusetts
- recipient has not previously received the award
- recipient must be a member of MPhA
- recipient should be participating in a national pharmacy association, professional program, state association activities, and/or community service

INNOVATIVE PHARMACY PRACTICE AWARD
Sponsored by: National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations
Criteria:
- recipient has demonstrated innovative pharmacy practice resulting in improved patient care
- recipient must be a pharmacist, licensed in Massachusetts
- recipient has not previously received the award
- recipient must be a member of MPhA

NATHAN GOLDBERG AWARD

Criteria:
- recipient must be registered in Massachusetts
- recipient has not previously received the award
- recipient must be a member of MPhA
- recipient has shown outstanding service to the profession of pharmacy and shown efforts for furthering the advancement of MPhA

- recipient has not previously received the award
- recipient has shown outstanding continued service to pharmacy and the betterment of health care
