
Pharmacy Advocacy Day Recap
The MPhA Pharmacy Advocacy Day was a success! Senator Eldridge and Representative Sabadosa were there to show support for the pharmacies and talk about their work on issues like the pharmacy tax, pharmacy reimbursement and whitebagging. Pharmacy Advocacy Day was further enhanced this year by having all of the pharmacy leaders speak in unity about priorities for their individual pharmacy associations, but also about how resources will be compiled to push legislation forward.

During this meeting, MPhA released its list of priority bills for the house of pharmacy to follow should the legislature ask what pharmacy’s priorities are for the year. We have provided the list of priority bills for pharmacy below.
● H4332 An Act Relative to Pharmacists as Healthcare Providers
● H1234 Relative to pharmacy benefit managers insurance service
● H4346 An Act to ensure access to prescription medications
● H1364 An Act relative to promoting healthcare access and affordability for patients
MPhA also discussed bills that the house of pharmacy should be monitoring which are:

● H4493 An Act to ensure access to prescription medication and community
pharmacies
