Student Pharmacist Resources

Student Resources

Student Pharmacists are the future of the Pharmacy Profession. Participation in Associations by students is vital to the long term success of our Profession, and integral to allowing the Association to advocate according to the needs of pharmacists.

As an organization, MPhA wants to support the growth and development of student pharmacists through a variety of student-focused initiatives.

Mentoring Program

We can best learn what we want to do by the experiences we gain and the relationships we build within our network. MPhA will be launching a mentoring program that pairs interested students with pharmacists that work in their desired practice area. These opportunities are individualized by the student and the mentor to provide the best experience for all. This is a great way for you to expand your professional network and gain valuable advice on what your future may hold.

Focused Programming

MPhA wants students to be at their very best when they enter the Profession. In order to serve our student members, MPhA offers several student programming activities at the New England Pharmacists Convention, including the Pepto Bowl, education sessions on Interviewing Techniques, and a Pharmacy Round Table to learn more from pharmacists working in a variety of practice settings.

Scholarships and Awards

MPhA Student members are eligible for an award from the MPhA Foundation. One student from each of the Colleges of Pharmacy in Massachusetts is selected annually.

Position on MPhA BOD

MPhA values its student members, and therefore retains a student pharmacist as a member of the Association Board of Directors. This one-year position is available to students attending a Massachusetts-based college of pharmacy.
